Partnership for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS)

EASA and colleagues in the Educational Psychology Service are overseeing schools' offer for PINS in Enfield this Year. Our Enfield PINS Offer: 

  • Support, training and workshops for parents, led by Our Voice. See the details on their website:OurVoice - PINS 
  • Peer Disability Awareness Training for children in PINS schools, delivered by Our Voice (this offer is limited to specific classes, usually Yr5 or Yr6)

  • NEN/AET Training Modules delivered by EASA. See our training pages to sign up. Modules include:

  • Enabling Environment Audits of school settings, using the NEN/AET’s Enabling Environments Field Guide Framework, led by EASA Occupational Therapist

A four part Cognition and Learning workshop, open to SENCos, Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and Learning Support Staff in PINS schools. Four sessions, covering key areas to build understanding and confidence in classroom support, underpinned by some of the principles of MeLSA:
  • Part 1: Introduction to Mediated Learning

Learn the key principles of mediated learning and apply mediated learning techniques to enhance pupils' engagement and foster independence for learning.

  • Part 2: Executive Functioning and Neurodiversity

Learn about executive functioning differences and difficulties in neurodivergent learners and how to apply mediated learning strategies to those with executive functioning differences.

  • Part 3: Maths and Mindset

Explore ways to support children with maths anxiety by providing mediated support to help develop a positive maths mindset.

  • Part 4: Reading and Spelling

Explore how to mediate children's reading and spelling with interventions and approaches.
